I want to welcome you all to the opening of my creative blog where I will spill the beans (although I don't like beans) on anything creative and other rants and such. Shooting for 2-3 blog entires a week so make sure to check back and ill be doing announcements on Instagram and twitter.
Growing up, as far back as I can remember I always a "creative person." Being the designated artist in my kindergarten class to draw class posters and such is where I realized I was pretty good at this thing called drawing. As i continued to draw, I was noticing I was looking at other artists' work and such and being inspired. Being in the backseat of my parents car going down the freeway, I would catch myself staring at the billboards and other advertisements and being "ohhh, I like that!" or "hmmm, Not sure if I like that." all before I reached high school.
Once I reached high school, I was intrigued on my class schedule when I saw "Drawing/Painting" and eventually worked my way up into the Advanced Drawing classes and Computer Graphics which was where I first started to dabble into a new way of designing something. I started learning about Adobe products in my spare time and thats when first started getting hooked. Friends and fellow creative people such as Sam Palencia and Magali Perets (high school friends and still friends today) would always remind me to stay on inspiring people with my work and such and I took it to heart and they will always inspire me still to this day and for the rest of my life with their talent. Sam, is now a very known graphic designer and letterer and Magali Perets is a known make up artist and a excellent eye for beauty.
After graduating high school, I was about to start the process to apply for a local community college to get rid of the general education that bored me, and take a creative design class here and there to see if I liked it. Then I got a phone call from my best friend Justin Radel and wanted me to go with him to tour a Art Institute campus with him, I went, That night I applied and rest was all creative from there. Trying to soak up as most knowledge I can for a 6 figure education. Always being inspired by others around me and the thought of me inspiring others them in return was a great feeling which I thrive for. Learning so much during school hours but I soon came to realize that If I wanted to be a great designer, not a good one, I needed to live, sweat and bleed design. I started to design just for fun and started to looking at the bigger picture on how I can make a living off of it.
Now graduated from The Art Institute of California - Inland Empire with both my Associates and Bachelors of Science in Graphic Design, I have now started a new chapter of my life, A more creative one, hopefully a more inspiring one and above all a positive one. This is only the beginning. I want to thank all of you, Even if you've had hatred or negative thoughts on myself or my work cause people like you, have pushed me in a forward direction to overcome that negativity and block you out so in that end note...
